PROCESS
This project began with deep listening and emotional mapping of Black Rain by Keane. We sketched out early concepts based on key visual metaphors, then translated them into linocut carvings. Every mark was made with intention—to echo the raw, layered emotions of the song and its message.
Carving the Design
Carefully carving the lino sheet, I brought each visual element to life by hand. This process required precision and focus to prepare the blocks for printing.

Printing the Artwork
Each carved lino block was inked and pressed onto paper using a printing press. The pressure transfers the design, and the moment of revealing the print captures the excitement of the final outcome.

Drying the Prints
After printing, the inked lino sheets were left to dry on the top layer. Beneath them, the final paper prints were also laid out to dry, completing the process from carving to print.
